Description
When pigs fly. The English-speaking world’s favourite way of saying never, and one of the oldest: versions of it have been used to dismiss impossible promises for more than four hundred years. You will hear it about the raise, the apology, the renovation that starts next month.
The joke, of course, is that the pig on this shirt made it. Wings out, clouds behind, entirely airborne. It is a phrase about impossibility worn by people who have quietly decided to try anyway.
Drawn in neo-traditional tattoo style: heavy black linework, eagle wings, a restrained palette and no cuteness anywhere. It reads as flash art first and as a punchline second.
